Delete Your Astrowani Account

Astrowani has two apps: Astrowani (for customers) and Astrowani Astrologer (for astrologers). You can delete your account in either app at any time. This page explains how to do it, what happens to your data, and what we are required by law to keep.

Option 1: Delete from inside the app (fastest)

Deleting from inside the app takes effect immediately.

Astrowani (customer app)

  1. Open the app and sign in.
  2. Tap the menu (☰), then Settings.
  3. Tap Delete Account.
  4. Read the summary on screen. It shows your current wallet balance, which you will lose.
  5. Confirm.

Astrowani Astrologer (astrologer app)

  1. Open the app and sign in.
  2. Tap the menu (☰), then Settings.
  3. Tap Delete Account.
  4. Read the summary on screen. It shows your current earnings balance. Withdraw your earnings first, because they cannot be recovered after deletion.
  5. Confirm.

You cannot delete your account during a consultation, or (for astrologers) while a withdrawal is being processed. Please wait until it has finished, then try again.

Option 2: Ask us by email

If you cannot use the app, for example because you changed your number, lost your phone or uninstalled the app, email us and we will delete the account for you.

Email: support@astrowani.com

Subject: Account deletion request

Please include:

  • the mobile number registered on the account
  • your name as it appears on the account
  • which app the account is for: Astrowani or Astrowani Astrologer

Before deleting anything, we will check that the request really comes from the account holder, usually by sending a one-time code to the registered mobile number. This protects you: without this check, anyone who knew your number could have your account deleted.

Timeline: we reply within 2 working days and complete verified deletions within 7 working days.

What happens when your account is deleted

Straight away:

  • You can no longer sign in to the account.
  • Your mobile number is released, so you can sign up again later as a new user. A new account starts empty; nothing from the old account carries over.
  • Your name, date, time and place of birth, gender, marital status and email address are deleted.
  • Your profile photo, any palm photos you uploaded, and voice notes are deleted.
  • Your chat messages are deleted.
  • Your saved delivery addresses, favourites and reviews are deleted.
  • Your support conversations, free call bookings and notifications are deleted, and we stop sending notifications to your devices.

Astrologers, additionally:

  • Your profile is removed from the app, so customers can no longer see, book or call you.
  • Your bank account and UPI details are deleted.
  • Reviews written about you are removed.

What we keep, and why

We cannot delete everything, and we would rather tell you than suggest otherwise.

Financial and consultation records are kept for 8 years. Indian tax law (the Income-Tax Act, 1961) and GST law require businesses to keep records of their transactions. We keep these only to meet our legal and accounting obligations and do not use them for anything else.

These records include:

  • payment, recharge and refund records
  • consultation billing records (date, duration and amount)
  • invoices, orders and delivery details for anything you bought
  • astrologer earnings and payout records, where applicable

Safety reports are kept. If a report was made about abuse or a safety concern, we keep that report so we can act on it and meet our legal obligations. It is no longer linked to your name or contact details.

Wallet balances are lost and are not refunded when you delete your account. If you have money in your wallet, use it or contact us before deleting. Astrologers must finish any pending withdrawal first.

Anonymous usage statistics are kept. They are totals, such as how many people used a feature, and cannot identify you.

Deletion is permanent

A deleted account cannot be restored. Your consultation history, wallet balance, saved details and purchase history are gone for good, and neither we nor you can recover them. There is no grace period and no undo.

If you only want us to stop contacting you, you can turn off notifications in your phone’s settings instead, or write to us at support@astrowani.com.
